What we do
A:RK provides an outlet for the exploration of all things creative. We pride ourselves on giving our clients unique art driven experiences and encouraging expressiveness in a nurturing environment. Our workshops are flexible with time, length, catering and volume of craziness – all packages are customisable to suit whatever it is you need; be it a hen’s do, corporate retreat, and anything in between!
Corporate Events
With most of our workshops hosted within an hour’s drive from Melbourne’s CBD, our corporate events provide an excellent opportunity to escape from the office be it a few hours or a whole day. Or, if you have the space, we can come to you (with perhaps the exception of some pottery workshops).
We can also provide catering and drinks packages and coordinate creative team building exercises or a chilled out day. Whatever you decide.
Private Parties
In the last few years we have been asked by various hen’s parties to provide themed and costumed life drawing sessions and we have been loving it! We have since developed our own twist by leaving out the model and involving the bride and guests to produce portraits through a series of drawing games. The bride is then presented with a set of hand crafted masterpieces of her to take home!
NB. We are working on refining the pottery workshops for this type of event, but it may require the workshop to be run at least a month before the wedding date.
Retreats & Roadshows
We are blessed to have friends in far and wide places who have joined us in facilitating one day and weekend workshops. We have also run classes at parties, festivals and fundraisers all of which were specifically tailored to the client and event. We are always happy to brainstorm ideas with you to make your event something very special.

1 PICK A WORKSHOP TYPE
Untutored Life Drawing that travels to regional areas to provide seasonal access to life models for regional artists.
Just Draw
Feel & Draw
Guided Drawing that encourages participants to play and let go to the creative process through meditative exercises.
In Focus
A structured session focused on a particular technique or theme help artists expand push their skills to the next level.
Hen’s
Our parties have the group centre around each other, with drawing games focused on the relationships of the party.
2 TELL US YOUR LOCATION + OPTIONS
Our home base is shared between Melbourne and Macedon Ranges but we also love to travel. If we can’t personally make it, our friends are spread across all of Victoria and would love to help you bring your event to life.
If there are some additional options you want (eg a theme, help finding a place, additional models or tutors, add on activities like yoga) let us know and we will figure out how to make that happen for you.
We will back and forth with you until we have honed in together your ideal package. When we have reached this point we will send you an invoice and ask for a 50% down payment to lock in your event. Prices will vary on your group size and type of event. We are happy to adjust any life drawing session to meet your needs as necessary. Other activities will be set by the external provider and will be subject to their fees.
3 YOUR PERSONALISED WORKSHOP
What we’ve done
Life drawing is such a fun way to let go of the rigidity of work life and get free in creativity. We’ve done a number of events for creative industry workplaces like interior designers and architects. Project delivery can get bogged down in technical resolution so we focus our drawing sessions on games to remove perfection and create simply for the joy only.
Corporate Events
We have done many hen’s parties in Melbourne and regional Victoria, garden parties, birthdays, and even going away parties. The drawing activities are customised to suit the experience of the group and what atmosphere they are after. When it comes to a hen’s party, we like to personalise it and rather than getting a life model in, we dress the bride to be up and make it a drawing session all about her. This has translated well into going away parties - our participants are left with a memento to remember their friend while they are off on adventures elsewhere in the world
Private Parties
In the past we ran regular drawing sessions in Kyneton and Lyonville. Our love of travel has led us on a few life drawing roadshows throughout Victoria, bringing life models to regional drawing groups. We have made these types of sessions both tutored and untutored, depending on the groups wants and needs. Roadtrips have included Corowa, Hamilton and Lauriston.
